The local union is currently dispatching workers for a variety of construction projects in the New Albany and Johnstown areas. Contractors like Bechtel, Cupertino Electric, ESI, Hilscher Clarke, Mid-City, and The Superior Group have multiple openings for journeyman electricians, often with shift schedules of 4-10s, 5-10s, and 6-10s. Many of the calls offer per diem, double time pay for overtime, and daily lunches provided. The JW pay scale is $40.25/hr. Drug testing and OSHA 10 certification are required for most calls. Dispatch hours are after 5pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends.
