What is the Work Outlook?

A quick, ranked snapshot of a local's best job calls — built to answer one question fast: is it worth heading there?

It's a summary, not the full list

The Work Outlook is a curated digest of the top opportunities at a local, not a line-by-line dump of every open call. We rank the calls by earning potential — pay rate, hours and overtime, per diem, duration, and number of positions — and show the strongest ones first.

So if a local has dozens of contractor calls, you'll typically see the top handful, not all of them. That's intentional.

📊 What the "total positions" number means

The number in the overview line (e.g. "211 total positions") is the total count of open positions across all calls on the local's dispatch page — not the number of lines listed below it.

Example: a local might show "211 total positions" up top, with 10 ranked calls beneath it that add up to ~80 of those positions. The other positions are spread across smaller or lower-earning calls we didn't surface.

Want the full picture?

The Work Outlook is the headline. For the complete count, the books, scale, and the raw dispatch source, use the rest of the local page — and when in doubt, call the hall before you make moves. Data comes from public dispatch pages and can lag, miss, or misclassify a call.
